Prevention
We stop hazing before it happens through ongoing programs that promote University rules, help students make informed decisions, provide alternative ways to grow community, and empower students to hold peers accountable.
Bringing campus partners together to address hazing, educate the community, and empower everyone to take action.
The Hazing Prevention Team seeks to shift campus culture through prevention, early intervention, and continuous education.
We stop hazing before it happens through ongoing programs that promote University rules, help students make informed decisions, provide alternative ways to grow community, and empower students to hold peers accountable.
Being able to identify and act on hazing is key to early intervention. The team equips the community to recognize what hazing looks like, with clearly defined next steps and reporting resources.
When an individual or organization is accused of hazing, the team provides necessary interventions and need-specific, research-based educational programs.
Membership is comprised of campus partners who support student organizations, who have direct involvement with the hazing investigation process, or who are tasked with supporting holistic student well-being.
The Hazing Prevention Team is chaired by Tundra Turner and Charlotte Favors. If you have any questions, please reach out to them.
Representatives from across the University who support prevention, investigation, and student well-being.
